Arataki Primary School wanted to learn about mindfulness and sand art. They got in touch with us, as they wanted to give the children an experience of both.

This is exactly what we do. Kenrick had prepared a few pieces of Sand Art to engage their young minds with the scale of the ocean.
A large circle Labrinth, a lifesize 27m blue whale, and a 32m lion’s mane jellyfish (the largest in the world).
The
EIGHTY nine-year-olds arrived with as much gusto as you would expect, so to help calm the mind we unleashed them on the Labrinth and giant sea life.

Following this, the students sat in the sand to do a mindfulness exercise and some box breathing meditation.
Splitting into groups of twenty, Kenrick taught classes how to do their own art with bamboo and rakes.
A true pleasure to see 80 kids learning tools of resilience and mindfulness, whilst connecting with nature.
